Welcome to my blog. I hope to cover many topics here pertaining to criminal defense cases, rights, sentencing, new law trends, etc. As I track daily headlines and speak with my colleague about cases, I am reminded about how the world is ever changing much the same way that the law evolves.

With each case, whether it’s a drug crime or fraud, there are always opportunities to learn. I’m always looking at stories from both sides of the issue. This kind of review helps me think like a judge, jury, the prosecution and, most importantly, my clients.

As a criminal defense attorney, I am constantly reviewing cases and news items to see how counsel handled the case, how the public at large views an issue and if there is a miscarriage of justice.

It is shocking to say the least when you see how many people are simply railroaded by the criminal justice system. It’s a passion of mine to fight for my client’s rights. It’s not just my job. I hope to cover an array of topics and share some highlights from the Alaskan legal system.

Staying on top of issues is crucial to my practice. Watching the way a case is handled by both the prosecution and as well as the defense can inform certain trends and attitudes amongst lawmakers.

I hope my thoughts on topics are compelling and you’ll return on a regular basis to read them. As a dedicated criminal defense attorney, I have much to share regarding the law and our system.
